We’re getting stuff set up at the Lac Pelletier Winter Community Center!! We are hoping to have the fitness part ready to go early next week. If you have any equipment with laundry hanging on it that you’d like to donate or loan, send us a message. There is card tables set up, so if you’re looking for a place to meet and have a few card games or board games, we got you covered too! We are in the process of setting up a Bean Bag league and games night on Tuesdays at 7pm. There will be Fitness in Motion classes held on Wednesday mornings. The Lac Pelletier Social Committee is looking into the possibility of opening a community fitness center in the Park Hall during the winter months to keep everyone active. This would be a place to come get some much-needed exercise during the off season. You could use the equipment or follow along to a fitness/yoga video. Access during open hours would be by fob so you can come on your own time. We would like to know how many people around the community would be interested in using the gym during the winter months, in order to see if its something worthwhile pursuing. There would be a membership fee for the season to cover insurance and snow removal costs. We would also like to know if there would be anyone interested in either donating good used equipment, or the other option is to loan your equipment to the gym for the season and then take it home in the spring.Please email social@lacpelletierregionalpark.ca or text Candace 306-315-3744 and let us know if you'd be interested.
