THE SEASONAL LOTTERY APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

Visit our website: lacpelletierregionalpark.ca and click on the camping tab. There is where you will find the form to fill out to apply for the seasonal lottery site. You can apply for as many sites as you want. The sites will be awarded as they are drawn (meaning if your name is pulled more than once, you will get the site you were drawn for first). The person on the application is the person that will be on the lease, and it is their trailer only that will be allowed on the site. If the applicant is a current lease holder applying for a new site and their name is drawn, the old site will go into a lottery the following week.
If your name is drawn, we will be contacting you that day to confirm and collect the $500 deposit, and the remainder of the seasonal fees will be due May 1st.

ATTENTION SWIM PARENTS!

SWIMMING LESSONS – July 17, 2023 to July 28, 2023
The Canadian Red Cross announced last year that it will no longer be offering their swimming programs in order to direct more attention to its humanitarian operations. In 2023, the Park will be offering swimming lessons from the Lifesaving Society.
Lifesaving Society swimming lessons require longer total class time and smaller enrolments per class than did Canadian Red Cross swimming lessons. To accommodate these changes, we have developed the following schedule options for the 2023 year:
1) One-week session
Session 1 will have two (2) classes per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon; and/or
Session 2 will have 1 class per day
OR
2) Two-week session
One two-week session with one class per day

We would like your input on what session format(s) to offer. Last year we did receive some feedback that longer lessons were not ideal, especially given the chilly lake temperature. The option to have two classes per day or offer swimming lessons over two weeks would limit the time swimmers were in the water for each occasion and hopefully give swimmers a better learning experience. The one class session over 1 week however does provide more flexibility for families for other activities.
Also, it should be noted that in case of inclement weather during the one-week session(s) there is little flexibility to reschedule classes. Classes may need to be scheduled on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Being able to take open water swimming lessons at Lac Pelletier is a right of passage for many families. The Park is committed to offering a program that meets families needs and also provides participants with the best possible opportunity to have fun and succeed. One week session, one class a day! Also wondering if there is room for parent and tot classes with that option?

Once a day for one week! For those of us that don't live in the park it gets even harder otherwise. Twice a day makes for super long day if you've got multiple kids, you're there all day. And two weeks is a lot of times to be driving out there.

One week session (doesn’t matter on one or two classes per day)

I think one session for one week or one session for two weeks. Twice a day would be a lot of back and forth for kids at different levels. Thanks for asking!

Once a day for one week makes for a long lesson for attention spans and getting cold. A tough one… Once a day for 2 weeks or my 2nd choice, 1 lesson for 1 week.

The office will be open on Monday morning from 9-12 and Tuesday afternoon from 2-4, plus the regular hours on Wednesday from 9-4 to accommodate people phoning in payments for seasonal deposits.

Just a quick reminder that seasonal campsite deposits are due by February 28th.

If your deposit is not in by then, you will run the risk of your site being added to the seasonal lottery.

On March 6th, we will post all of the available sites. You can then enter your name for any or all the sites you are interested in. The draw will then be held on March 15th. All the information will be coming to our website and social media soon.
